The UK played a leading role in bringing cat cafés to Europe. Lady Dinah’s Cat Café in London was the second to open on the continent in March 2014, followed by Cat Café Manchester in July 2016. With this rich history, it’s not surprising that the UK boasts numerous cat cafés today, although Northern Ireland and Wales are a bit behind the trend.

If you’re on the lookout for a cat café near you in the UK, this guide has got you covered. It’s your ultimate resource for discovering all the cat cafés in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales.

Cat cafés in England

Bag Of Nails (Bristol)

Landlord Luke Daniels wants to clarify that Bag Of Nails is a pub with cats, not a cat pub. He doesn’t want it compared to all the other cat cafés where cats are the main attraction. He wants the focus to be on the great beers he serves, his collection of vinyl records, and the many board games that are available at the pub.

However, its 24 (!) cats are the very reason Bag Of Nails has become so famous.
