Cats from Kololi {The Gambia}

I found these cats in the Senegambia Hotel in Kololi, The Gambia. Kololi is one of the busiest entertainment districts of the country, full of beach bars and restaurants. The cats in these pictures didn’t mind the tourists at all. They whiled away the hot midday hours napping in the shade or looking at the tourist shops of the hotel.

Disclaimer: My trip to The Gambia was sponsored by The Gambia Tourism Board, The Coconut Residence, and SN Brussels Airlines.

P.S. More Gambian hotel kitties here and here.

In Seoul, South Korea, cat cafés are everywhere - on nearly every corner of the street. These pictures were taken at Cat's Attic in Gangnam. There are more cats here than at the Myeongdong Cat Café, but it's less pretty because there are no windows.

P.S. Have you seen our pictures from the cat cafés in Brussels and Himeji?

If you're ever in Tiverton in Devon, England, then make sure to visit the local Tesco store to meet Mango the supermarket cat. Though he has a home nearby, Mango has been sleeping inside the supermarket for four years now. He loves to pose for pictures.

Cat from Rye {England}

Contrary to what you might expect, Rye in East Sussex, England, is not known for its quaint buildings, but for its... ghosts. Several inns, such as The Mermaid Inn and The Union Inn, claim to have their own supernatural visitors. In Watchbell Street, a boy wrapped in a white sheet supposedly makes a regular appearance. In Mermaid Street it's a girl dressed in blue. And in Turkey Cock Lane there's the ghost of a monk who was bricked up alive. Even author Henry James, who used to live in Rye, said that the spirit of an old lady helped him with his writing. No wonder Rye is called the most haunted town in England. The Rye Heritage Centre runs regular ghost tours and walks.

Cats from Rome {Italy}

I found these two postcards while in Rome last year. They were created by the famous Giancarlo Gasponi, author of the photo books Rome Revealed, Rome. Water and Stone, Portrait Of Rome, and Rome. Fascination Of Art and History. The first postcard portrays a cat at the St. Peter's Square in Vatican City. The second postcard has cats posing in front of the Roman forum, once the centre of the Roman empire.

Meet StovePipe the Traveling Cat. He loves to travel with his humans. Sometimes it's only to Walmart or Target, but he also goes to more adventurous locations such as Marina del Rey or Mount Shasta (pictured above). Not only is Stovepipe famous for his travels, he has his own cat litter brand as well: StovePipeCat's Awesome Almost Invisible Cat Litter.

A few months ago, Lauren picked up foster kittens for a friend at the Oklahoma Human Society. One of the kittens fell instantly in love with her dog Sophie. To this day, they are still best friends.

P.S. Have you seen this cat/dog friendship in China?

These Siberian Forest Cats are Amy and Merlin. Their owners found them in Puerto del Rosario on the island Fuerteventura. After the kitties started following them everywhere, they decided to bring them home to Baden Württemberg, Germany. This is their first time playing in the snow.
