I found these two postcards while in Rome last year. They were created by the famous Giancarlo Gasponi, author of the photo books Rome Revealed, Rome. Water and Stone, Portrait Of Rome, and Rome. Fascination Of Art and History. The first postcard portrays a cat at the St. Peter's Square in Vatican City. The second postcard has cats posing in front of the Roman forum, once the centre of the Roman empire.
Wonderful! When I was in Rome, I saw a cat at the Colosseum.
ReplyDeleteI love cats and I love Italy and both together very lovely...
ReplyDeleteWe come across many traveling cats in our travels. Cats who travel in an RV quite nicely. Nice to meet you too, BTW.

Beautiful cats in beautiful post cards.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful pictures, and I had no idea they were postcards till you said so. I love the rich fancy cat riding in his own carriage! Stumble upon huh? Maybe I should go there and look around. I really hope you don't change your blog too much, it is PERFECT just the way it is!

What a very cool blog! I am obsessed with Italy (believing that I was a fiery Italian in a past life!), so I really love the postcards! Thanks so much for sharing! This is my first visit to your site, but I'll be back! :)
ReplyDeleteThose are such sweeties! We enjoyed reading your challenge answers!

ReplyDeleteWow, your post got 15,000 visitors, that is amazing! Love that post!
Love those pictures!
ReplyDeleteLoved the Italian kitties at the top.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on having an awesome year.
You may have better luck in the search engines if you tag your photos properly. I'm a WordPress person, not Blogger so I'm not sure what your blog back end looks like. But in WordPress, we can tag every photo with terms that are search engine friendly.
Then you need to repeat those keywords in any text you write.
And yes, Stumbleupon is great for photography sites. I got my best hit ever from Stumbleupon. Unfortunately, SU users don't don't usually hang around.
Wonderful tips!
ReplyDeleteThis has been a great challenge!

I love stopping by your blog! You have such amazing cat photos! I never get to travel, so it is a little bit like I get to travel through you. I love the way you use photos that have an artistic quality to them. In my opinion, the best ways to get ranked on Google are to post on Google+ and to use good SEO.
ReplyDeleteloved reading more about you and are happy that we were some of your original followers :)
ReplyDeleteI visited France and Italy with my hubby for our honeymoon. We saw several cats wandering the cobblestone streets. I always imagined they had some exotic story to tell.

Davide.
