Children are not allowed in Ngala Lodge, because this stunning resort in The Gambia is all about romance and tranquility. Its food is the best in the entire country. No wonder Ngala Lodge has been awarded the TripAdvisor's Traveller's Choice Award as the fourth most romantic hotel in Africa. Just like The Coconut Residence, Ngala Lodge has a resident cat, Rasta, that ensures that all guests are entertained.
My trip to The Gambia was sponsored by The Gambia Tourism Board and SN Brussels Airlines.
If kids aren't allowed, I won't be staying there because we travel as a family, but that is cute that cat hangs around like that :)
ReplyDeleteNo kids but cats? We have 5 kids and all our traveling is done as a family but this definitely sounds like a nice tranquil place to go!
ReplyDeleteAhh, resorts with no kids allowed. They can often be the best by guaranteeing you peace and quiet! Love that they have cats lounging around- I'm definitely a crazy cat lady!
ReplyDeletelooks calm and peaceful.

ReplyDeleteRasta is such a cute kitty! And it sounds wonderful lodge to stay and relax!
ReplyDeleteI don't usually mind having children staying at my resorts when I travel, but every once in a while it would be nice to be at an all-adult facility. They do offer a different vibe and atmosphere.
ReplyDeleteCool cat, cool place. But you wouldn't find me here, as I have no desire to go to Africa, lol. :-D
ReplyDeleteHi Vanessa! Thanks for visiting me. I am glad to find you, because your blog is brilliant! I love the idea of it! Of course we love cats and have had six during our lifetime. We have two now. I LOVE this photo! The cap makes the cat the star of the show. Blessings to you at this holiday season. I am following you.
ReplyDeleteThat cat looks like he owns the place. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty cat! He doesn't really look like one you should mess with though. He almost has a look like, "Why are you taking my picture?"
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful setting! I've love a vaca with just the hubby, but we usually travel as a family with our son.
ReplyDeleteThat cat is a pretty big, a question for you, what is the biggest cat you came across and where? I have dogs but cats are cute.
ReplyDeleteI think it's so great that they have a resident cat! We usually travel as a family, but a romantic vacation could be in the future!
ReplyDeleteAnd the kitty is beautiful!

ReplyDeleteRasta has it made! I bet he gets a lot of attention since he's the resident kitty AND maybe a few scraps from that outdoor dining room once in a while???
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sammy

ReplyDeleteThis resort sounds amazingly relaxing and I love the cat. I would love to go there some day indeed because I have never been to a romantic resort before. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOmg all resorts should have resident cats!!! I went to a resort in Costa Rica once with resident cats and by the end of our week there I had made friends and was sad to leave the kitties!!!
ReplyDeleteI love that the resort has a resident cat. I have never heard of this before. I bet the guests love having a cat to play with and the cat is enjoying a great life.
ReplyDeleteThat looks a lot like our philippine street cats
ReplyDeleteWhat a lucky kitty to be living in such a wonderful resort.
ReplyDeleteNo kids but they have cats? Sign me up.
ReplyDeleteThat is an interesting location! I never would have thought to travel to Gambia. Sounds like a nice place.
ReplyDeleteInteresting place. But we always travel as family so if kids are not allowed, then we couldn't visit the place. Not unless it will be a husband-wife trip. :)

ReplyDeletei love that they have resident cats. :) sounds like a nice relaxing place for us! we don't have kids yet.. so we would much rather visit a resort with no kids too.
ReplyDeleteI've always thought it was cute when places have a 'resident' dog or cat to greet others at an establishment. This feline looks very comfortable in her surroundings.
ReplyDeleteSun and fun.... how lovely it is.
ReplyDeleteIt's has been raining cats and dogs over here.
Well....another day more will be year end. Happy New Year Vanessa. !

ReplyDeleteI guess its all about the sensuality and ambiance of the place - I think if I am to go there I wouldn't want to have kids running around it as well.
