I'm currently on a press trip in The Gambia in West Africa. While I'm writing this, I'm sitting on the balcony of my hotel, the recently re-opened The Coconut Residence, which is one of the coziest resorts I've visited in the country. Several green velvet monkeys sit next to me and sunbathe near the swimming pool. Sometimes, a cat walks by.
Previous hotel cats: Cat from the Luna Blue Hotel in Playa del Carmen, Mexico / Cat from the hotel Catalonia ses Estaquès in Santa Eulària, Ibiza / Cat from the San Sebastian Playa Hotel in Sitges, Spain
Do you bring cat treats with you when you travel?
ReplyDeleteIf I know in advance that there will be strays, yes. I shared my breakfast with the cat on the second picture.
DeleteAww! aren't they cute :-)
ReplyDeleteAdorable shots! Have a terrific day!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy and have a great time. Have a terrific Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
That second one has something to say!
ReplyDeleteIndeed. She constantly mewed for cuddles and food.
DeleteWow the second one has an attitude and fangs!!!
ReplyDeleteActually, she had no attitude whatsoever. In fact, she was the sweetest cat I met in The Gambia. If her fangs are showing, it's only because she's mewing.
DeleteSuch cuties!
ReplyDeleteThat second one doesn't look too happy. Haha!
ReplyDeleteShe was a sweetheart, but she was also miserable and needed lots of food and attention.
DeleteI think the second one is ticked off about something!

ReplyDeleteHow cool you have velvet monkeys sitting with you!
So cute! Is the second kitty upset about something?
ReplyDeleteNot upset. She was mewing to get my attention.

ReplyDeleteI was delighted when I heard Coconut Residence was reopening. I've never stayed there but have visited to photograph it for a tour operator, a good few years ago now. I've always longed to stay here and who knows, maybe one day I will!
ReplyDeleteYou should. The Coconut Residence is a lovely hotel.
DeletePrecious! The Flame Point Siamese looks a lot like my cat that passed away recently. Except mine had blue eyes.
ReplyDeleteHow nice to have cats at a hotel!

"You're not feeding me!" The second one is saying. lol
ReplyDeleteYou're reading her thoughts. That's exactly what she was saying :)
DeleteThe first one is sweet as sugar and the second one has a pretty urgent message. Cute!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a fierce look ...wondering who made him/her angry
ReplyDeleteShe wasn't angry, just asking for food ;-)
DeleteThey both look like they're waiting for meals, one patiently and the other being a bit demanding.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful kitties! Looks like the second one wasn't too fond of having his photo taken. It must be really neat to have a job that takes you all over the world. :)
ReplyDeleteEn somme .. un petit coin de paradis.
