“I fall in love with cities all the time. Milan, Istanbul, Essaouira, Reykjavik. I can’t help it. I also fall in love with cats. It doesn’t matter what color they are or how unloved they look. I’ll feed them, I’ll randomly run after them, and I’ll do everything I can to convince my partner to let me take one home in my carry-on,” says Geri from the travel blog Two-Up Travels.
“Last weekend we celebrated our wedding anniversary in Dubrovnik. The weather was perfect, the company was awesome, and there were plenty of cats. Here are a few of my favorites.”
Everywhere you look in Dubrovnik there is some sort of hidden spot of sunshine. This guy found one of the best.
The cat of Cafe Ruza has the best view in the city.
This guy followed us all the way from the ice cream shop. Too bad his stalking didn’t pay off.
Puddle water is pretty attractive when you live by the seaside.
Roof cat is incredibly nimble, even at 20 meters above the city.
Enjoying some late afternoon sun and watching over the slaves washing.
This cat was desperate for some love.
What you can’t see in the picture is the elderly lady fishing for sardines off the edge of the jetty. Well played kitty.
This cat blended into the stonework so well I almost walked right past him. He waited patiently for me to take several pictures and then ambled off. His job was done.
I knew Dubrovnik is a beautiful city and want to visit. But now it's confirmed that it's beautiful because they have cats everywhere!

ReplyDeleteLove these traveling cats. They do look well fed and well loved. Sometimes it's not bad being a straggler right? Thanks for linking up with Thoughtless Thursdays. Can't wait to see what you have stored for us next week!
ReplyDeleteThat's wonderful how the cats in Dubrovnik are taken care of. They look happy and healthy for outdoor kitties. Love all the pics, especially the first one of the sleepy white kitty with the black ear. Wish I could travel to Croatia. Purrz, Katie Kat.
ReplyDeleteA cat by the sea need never go hungry. Always lots of fish guts and leftovers once the catch is in.
